Rush Testimonials

"I joined AKPsi 2 years ago and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions that I have made in college.  When I was rushing for Greek, Asian, and Professional fraternities, I found that AKPsi was the best balance for me.  I was drawn in by the business aspect, but stayed for the brotherhood.  This fraternity has one of the closest communities at UC Irvine and it has enabled me to meet some of my best friends in college yet."

"As a transfer student, I came in to UCI feeling completely disconnected with the rest of the campus.  Usually, freshman would have their orientations and have a large group of people coming in together through classes and dorms not knowing what to expect.  However, as a transfer, you come in taking mainly upper division classes with people that already have their cliques and organizations they associate with. From that point, I wanted to do something about it.  I decided that since I will graduate within two years, I wanted to experience the full college life AND prepare myself for the working world.  I heard AKPsi was described as a professional business fraternity through flyers and welcome week, but I wanted to know more.  I would check the website and talk to the actives at the booth and figure that joining might be the change that I wanted (and needed).  I decided to rush because I wanted to take that next step in professionalism, and gain friendships that only a brotherhood can offer.  It is the balance of having a social life with a drive to work and prepare for what lies after graduation.  After I crossed and have spent a year in AKPsi, I would say that it has not only met, but exceeded my expectations."

"Alpha Kappa Psi has tremendously helped me grow to the individual that I am today. I came in looking for a great network of business professionals to aid me with my future, not only did I get what I was looking for but along with that, I got a group of great people whom I'm happy to call my friends and brothers. The most valuable thing I've gotten out of Alpha Kappa Psi is the brotherhood and the opportunity to learn my own personal capabilities. It has pushed me to push myself outside of my typical boundaries, and as a direct consequence of that, I gained a better understanding of myself and better focus of what direction I want to take in the future. The people you meet, the connections you make, and the brotherhood you develop are life changing. I encourage you to come check us out at our next rush. We might be what you've been looking for."

"I rushed for Alpha Kappa Psi hoping to make new friends and to learn about professionalism. Instead, I got so much more than that. I got my current job through one of my bros and learned valuable business skills. I have to say that the best part of Alpha Kappa Psi, is the amazing group of people that I have met, many of which are now my best friends. The bond that we created during pledgeship, can never be replaced."

"The Fraternity environment has contributed tremendously to my personal growth in college, providing the professional tools and network necessary to help develop my professional demeanor and ethics, and more importantly offering a great pool of life-long friends with similar ambitions and drives. AKPsi, as an organization, has set the foundation for experiences honing all of my strengths, contributing to the development of the mature and responsible individual I am today. I've met and continue to meet amazing people in this organization, who have acted like my mentors--people I could really look up to and highly respect. You have to be passionate in the things you do, and commit with full-hearted dedication to good values and good people. For me, AKPsi is the passion that created incredible meaning in my college experience."
